We have to stop wrapping our children in bubble wrap. Young people need to learn to deal with loss, pain, failure, disappointment, want, need, jealousy, and so on, or they’ll walk face first into adulthood unarmed and unprepared. These experiences are vaccines for the soul. Would you deny your child the sting of a needle if in the long run it made them stronger?
